Crush Resistance

slider1

Crush Resistance tests include measuring the compressive load to the point where a sample distorts, fractures, shatters or collapses. The tests can be applied to a variety of products including corrugated cardboard, glass, bearings, bricks, concrete or any sample where crush resistance is important. The tests are commonly used in packaging design and verification.

Generally, the Crush Resistance test includes a load limit. The material under test is compressed and compared to the load limit. Maximum load, load at break and work at maximum load are calculated.

Tinius Olsen provide force measurement equipment and material testing machines for crush resistance testing. All testing hardware is fully complemented by our Horizon software.
